On Friday afternoon, 27th August 2021 at around 1:25 PM, a Boating Collision took place in Ocean City in Worcester County in Maryland, where it has been reported by the concerned Fire Department of Ocean City that two Vessels crashed 60 miles off the coast of the ocean city. As per the initial reports at hand, one person who was supposed to be in one of those boats succumbed to his injuries while another person also got injured and is right now undergoing medical treatment.
The concerned investigating authorities are reported to be investigating the case and are doing their absolute best to find out the circumstance under which this accident occurred in the first place. In the official statement released by the Ocean City Fire Department, it is clearly mentioned that they were informed about a Boating Collision Off The Coast Ocean City at around 1:30 PM on Friday, August 27. The OCFD along with other paramedic forces were quick enough and immediately went to the incident to provide instant assistance to the injured at the scene.
The incident occurred 60 miles offshore of Ocean city and thus, paramedic units were sent to the spot to execute an immediate rescue operation. Upon reaching the incident scene, the department found two people in an extremely severe condition. As per the official, out of the two patients, one of the patients was announced dead by the staff of the paramedics around 25 miles offshore, while the other patient suffered a minor head injury. The patient was instantly assessed by the emergency medical force of Ocean city.
Well, as of now we are unaware what exactly caused the two boats to collide with each other in the first place, as there has been no official information released from the sides of the Ocean City Fire Department on this matter, however, it has been said apart from the two people, all the other person present inside the boat are sound and safe and have been taken proper care of by the emergency medical forces. This horrific collision has surely left some deep impression and traumatic memory for many presents in the boat.
As per the OCFD, the situation is under control. The fire department of Ocean city acknowledged the assistance of the US Coast Guard as well as the Maryland Natural Resources Police and at the same time expressed their sadness over the loss of one person in this tragic boating collision off the coast of the ocean city incident. As of now, no further updates regarding the person who suffered minor injuries in this incident has been reported by the police officials.
