Doug Bowser, the president of the popular Japanese video game company, Nintendo, has recently revealed in one of his recent interviews that they are planning on bringing fresh and new content for their famous, Life Simulation game named, “Animal Crossing New Horizons”. He also shared that how the ongoing pandemic intrigued and brought the attention of new players in the game. Undoubtedly, New Horizon is one of the best game when it comes to the social simulation genre and what’s more the phenomenal gameplay and the customization options make this game even more spectacular.
Meanwhile, “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” is the fifth central game in the series of Animal Crossing, and over time, the game has in fact has received a massive response from the players as well as from the critics. Not only the game gained Commerical success for selling over more than 32 million copies across the globe but has also earned numerous awards including the Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2020 under the category of Game of the year.
Moreover, the game got nominated at the BAFTA Games Awards 2021 under the category of Best Game and also won the Game Beyond Entertainment and Best Multiplayer awards. The game was originally released on 20th March 2020, the director of which is Aya Nogami, while Hisashi Nogami is the producer of the game. Earlier, during the E3 Event, many players were assuming that Doug Bowser will announce some news regarding the release of new and fresh content in the game.
However, to their utter disappointment, nothing was announced in that particular event, but the recent interview of the president of Nintendo has made it all clear. During the interview, Bowser commented that they did not discuss anything about the game during the E3 Nintendo, they certainly do have plans to ensure their 33 million users who have islands out there have new, unique and various fun activities to engage with.
This piece of news has definitely thrilled and excited the game users and they are surely looking forward to this fresh content that is waiting on their way. As of now, neither the developer of the game, Nintendo EPD, nor the publisher of the game, Nintendo has made any announcement regarding the release of new plans, however, we are sure that a lot of fun activities are waiting on our way in the famous social simulation game, “Animal Crossing: New Horizon”.
