Apple Threatens to Terminate “Epic Games” Developer Account On 28 August

In today’s article, we are talking about the latest news about the popular game Fortnite. Last Monday Epic Games whos is the developer of Fortnite has said that Apple is threatening them to cancel their developer account by 28th August 2020 and would cut the company off from the IOS and macOS development tools.

Fortnite is one of the popular games that was the replacement of the Pubg game. It is an online video game that was developed by the Epic game and was released on Android and OS on the 21st of July,2019. It is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Classic Mac OS. It is an open-world survival game in which there are four-player and have to survive until the end.

We would like to inform you that Apple and Google pay has removed this game from there app store and play store respectively because they have ostensibly added a payment option in both of the IOS as well as Android version if Fortnite, “bypassing the need to pay Apple and Google a 30 percent cut on all in-app purchases”.

Epic games tell their user that Apple has sent them the notice regarding the termination of the account because of the antimonopoly disputes between the two companies. The Epic Games has tweeted on their twitter handle “Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store and has informed Epic that on Friday, August 28 Apple will terminate all our developer accounts and cut Epic off from iOS and Mac development tools. We are asking the court to stop this retaliation,”

Apple has said the Epic Games has become one the big growing company with multi-billion dollar business and have reached more than millions of iOS customers all over the world. Apple has said in the letter that they have found many violations under the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. Therefore they will remove their account from the IOS development.

Epic games go to the court and ask them for preventing any action taking against them, action includes limiting, excluding, or ending of  Epic’s access to the Apple Developer program. For more latest updates stay tuned with Dekh news.
