Well, you all may know that yesterday BAFTA Awards took place which was quite outstanding and we have seen so many stars on it. People even watch the whole Award function on local TV and said a great word of mouth for it. The award was hosted by Joanna Lumley and full of talk of both #MeToo and #TimesUp. Also, the event took place on Sunday evening at the Royal Albert Hall. Well, nothing surprised viewers because most of the awards went to the expected winners, with The Shape Of Water, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Coco.
Also, we have seen that Guillermo del Toro took home Best Director award even though that was quite surprising for some people because they thought Sally Hawkins might nab a BAFTA for Water. Billboards also went home with Best British Film, Best Original Screenplay for writer/director Martin McDonagh, Best Supporting Actor for Sam Rockwell and the overall Best Film prize.
We have seen so many stars and even people who watched the award enjoyed it. There was a pleasing mix of gongs, with Blade Runner 2049 cinematographer Roger Deakins rewarded for his work. Also, Daniel Kaluuya, who is seeing a big boost in his career of late, scored the EE Rising Star Award, the one category voted for by the public. Overall, the whole award function was highly motivated and people loved it.
