On Wednesday, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly criticized the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for sending a Conflict of Interest notice to Rahul Dravid. Ganguly expressed his disagreement as well as his disappointment regarding the matter by writing in his twitter account, “New fashion in indian cricket …..conflict of interest ….Best way to remain in news …god help indian cricket ……Dravid Gets Conflict of Interest Notice from BCCI Ethics Officer,”
Harbhajan Singh on the other hand was also not pleased with the way legendary cricketers were being treated and then he also raised his voice by replying to Ganguly’s tweet.
He wrote, “Really ?? Don’t know where it’s heading to.. u can’t get better person thn him for indian cricket. Sending notice to these legends is like insulting them.. cricket need their services for betterment.. yes god save indian cricket”

Rahul Dravid who is the current head of National Cricket Academy’s (NCA) Cricket Operations, gets a notice from BCCI’s Ethics Officer on specific Conflict of Interest allegations charged against him.
After receiving a complaint from Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) life member Sanjeev Gupta, the BCCI’s Ombudsman-cum-Ethics Officer Justice (Retd) DK Jain has sent a notice to Rahul Dravid.
As per to Gupta’s complaint, Dravid is allegedly disputed as he is the NCA Director as well as he is also employed as a vice-president of India Cements group, which owns Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings.
“Yes, I have sent a notice to Mr Rahul Dravid last week after receiving a complaint. He has been given two weeks to reply to the allegations of Conflict of Interest. Based on his reply, I will decide whether to proceed further or not,” Justice Jain said.
For those who e not aware, Gupta is the same person, who had also filed same kind of Conflict of Interest complaints against legendary cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman for their twin roles as Cricket Advisory Committee member as well as mentor/icon of their corresponding IPL franchises that is Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad, respectively.
At that time both had positively refused that they had any conflicts of any kind. In fact, Tendulkar in his affidavit stated that he didn’t take a single penny from MI for his services.
In the meantime, it is expected that Dravid is going to have to file his reply by August 16 and then may possibly have to appear for an in-person hearing if Justice Jain believes it important.
