BSNL is on their way to join 4G telecom market which they haven’t joined yet. In order to implement this, BSNL is also running an offer where it is allowing 2G along with 3G customers for upgrading to 4G for free of cost.

The up gradation of this government-owned telecom company, is coming at the time when its rivals have been already planning to get the launch of 5G. This offer is going to be available in all the telecom circles of BSNL in India.

The offer is going to last for 90 days in the market. The offer began on April 1 and is going to carry on for the following two months. In order to make its existence more prominent, BSNL has offered its users to swap 2G or 3G BSNL users for swapping and upgrading their SIM cards to 4G at no single cost.

All those users of BSNL who want to upgrade their network, is going to have their existing SIM to get swapped with the new 4G one.

Even though BSNL is offering 4G services in some selected circles of the nation, but as compared to their other rivals telcos companies, the company still has to achieve a long way.

Recently, BSNL has also declared Procurement of Tender where it had said that the bidding may possibly conclude . But, at the same time, in its latest development, the company has released a Postponement of Tender ending early, as per to Telecom Talk report.

Benefits of upgrade 4G sim card

There’s one more scheme which is currently going on for the new subscribers of BSNL. All those customers who get a new BSNL connection as well as the recharge for more than Rs 100 are getting a 4G SIM card and that is also for free of cost.

However, it is not confirmed whether this offer is still accessible for the BSNL subscribers or not. It has been also said that for quite some time, BSNL has been working on 4G deployments but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the telco’s plans were reportedly postponed.

The telco has also fastened in companies such as Samsung, ZTE, Nokia as well as Ericsson as bidders for its upcoming upgradation and 4G expansion. BSNL is also planning for upgrading its 50,000 new 4G sites in all the four zones across the nation.

In addition to that, BSNL has also recently announced a four per cent discount to the users who will recharge other BSNL subscriber’s numbers. However, the offer is only limited for certain time period and it is going to be valid up to May 31 with the scheme which is only applicable to the registered users.
