Given below are the list of documents that you need to provide when you are planning to renew your insurance policy:

  • Your driving license details
  • Some common details like name, address, date of birth, occupation, gender.
  • RC or Registration certificate number and Vehicle registration number.
  • The number of old two-wheeler insurance policy.
  • Details of online paying methods like net banking, credit, or debit cards.

You can find the above information on your old policy document. You may want to change your insurance provider at the time of renewal. As per the guidelines issued by IRDAI, you can switch your insurer, once you have completed the policy tenure of the existing plan. To change your insurance provider at the time of renewal, you must submit the following documents:

  • Documents that can prove your identity like driving license, passport, Aadhaar card, government-issued photo ID, PAN card, etc.
  • Documents that can prove your address like driving license, passport, bank passbook, post office passbook, government-issued address proof, etc.
  • Recently taken photograph in passport size.
  • Your driving license details
  • Some common details like name, address, date of birth, occupation, gender.
  • RC or Registration certificate number and Vehicle registration number.
  • The number of old two-wheeler insurance policy.
  • Details of online paying methods like net banking, credit, or debit cards.

You need to provide the above documents along with the insurance renewal form. Once all the documents are verified, your bike insurance policy will be renewed.
