The third battle between England and West Indies is all set to be carried out to get a winner of the series in the third Test. With 1-1 equal points, the third test which is scheduled to be held at Old Trafford will decide the winner of this on-going tournament.
Team England on Thursday named its squad and delayed showing its hand by selecting all six of its seamers, which includes Jofra Archer, who has dropped earlier the second test because of breaking health protocols through an unapproved trip home.
Archer, James Anderson as well as Mark Wood took part in the first test which was held in Southampton and West Indies achieved victory by four wickets. Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes, and Sam Curran have participated in the second test in Manchester.
However, team England has rotated its seamers between tests, but on the other hand, the West Indies team didn’t do any change and Shannon Gabriel and Alzarri Joseph (2, 1) left the field in Manchester for running upkeeps.
The assistant coach of West Indies, Roddy Estwick, stated that they had no major injury issues but the selection is going to rely on the uprightness of their pace bowlers about how they’re keeping up after the additional quick shift.
The West Indies tour of England 2020 started on Wednesday, 8th July 2020. The tournament was scheduled for a hot total number of three test matches. This tournament was earlier planned to be conducted in May and June 2020 but it was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The second Test was played on 16th July 2020 and the third and the final Test match will be played on 24th July 2020.
