We are here to share a piece of sorrowful news with you all, that the former Hazoori Ragi of the sacred Golden Temple, Giani Nirmal Singh has been passed away in the morning on Thursday, just after a day being tested positive for COVID-19. The 68 years legend was kept on the ventilator support in Amritsar at the Government hospital after his condition getting worst on Wednesday. He was admitted to the Guru Nanak Dev Hospital after the chest infection but he had breath related issues and got check-up for COVID-19 and found positive. As per the latest updates, after returning from the abroad he had been a part of Sammelan in Delhi and on some other places. On 19th March, he had kirtan at his residence along with his family and relatives.
Special Chief Secretary of Punjab Disaster Management, Mr KBS Sidhu said that the former Hazoori Ragi of Golden Temple, Baba Giani was tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday and has been passed away in this morning around 4:30 AM”. Other members of his family are also being tested, his two daughters, wife, son, his driver and also other six others. That every member who has been with him to Chandigarh. The officials have ordered to take strict action in Chandigarh sector 27 where he has been. All the necessary steps are being taken to control the spread of the virus.
