Facebook Plans to Host Audio-Only Features After Twitter To Take On Clubhouse

The world is full of social networking sites and the users of these are increasing with the millions of people daily. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and many more social media Apps are some of the best and most using Apps around the world. While these Apps come with their daily or weekly updates and today, the biggest social networking app, Facebook is planning a product series at taking on a breakaway audio platform clubhouse till the next year, according to the report by Recode. Now, the company is planning to add a suite of products that will come with a feature of social audio including a foray into the podcast space.

Facebook plans to host audio-only features

As per the released reports, the company is now working on only the audio version of Rooms, while the video call version was launched by Facebook to its Messengers platform and was added last year. In the Covid situation, the company can be seen the massive increase of video conferencing around the world, and now, they are working on a “Clubhouse product” and it will provide a way to interact virtually on Internet (Facebook).

Along with this feature, the company is also looking at one more page out of Twitter’s playbook that will allow all users to record short voice messages for posting on their newsfeed. While the blogging platforms have already introduced this feature of voice tweets and direct messages just a few months ago. Also, here is a podcast discovery platform under the work that will connect users on Spotify, maybe they are allowing to listen to the music streaming’s platform to increasing the songs interest from all over the world.

Well, the Recode said that the timeline of these products is still unclear, maybe, it can be expected that they will announce this today. Also, they are planning to accept these features from Clubhouse which is also reported by The New York Times. But, the audio chat startup announced that they closed a new series named S Funding on the day of April 18, which was led by Andrew Chen, who is a partner of Venture a16z. As per the reports, here is the fund value of the Clubhouse $ 4 Billions including DST and Tiger Global. In a post of the blog, the company said,” It will help us to scale up our team heavily to support international growth, localization invest, and features. They also said that they will bring some more features like “Creator First” and it has been already announced that the user of Clubhouse will have to paid for the hosting rooms.
