On 24th June 2021, that is, on Thursday, the largest technological giant, Microsoft officially unveiled the next version of the operating system, Windows 11 during a Livestream. Well, the company has been hinting about it for quite a while over their official Twitter account, and finally, they are back with another new generation of Windows, unlocking new opportunity for people and the world. Well, technology has also been a great way to ease and organize piles of work, however, during the pandemic, the company considered the increasing demand for technology and thus, came up with a new operating system.
It has been reported by the company that Windows 11 will release by Fall 2021 which starting from 22nd September to 21st December 2021. This operating system is said to be a significant and influential release of the Windows NT OS and is the successor to Windows 10, released on 15th July 2015. Microsoft users can upgrade their existing window 10 devices to the latest new release by going through the Windows update features.
Features of Windows 11 OS
- User Interface: Microsoft has come up with an upgraded interface, a fresh colour palette, and will introduce a new start menu, where users can secure application and see the lately accessed documents and files. The application lists are concealed this time while the live titles are eliminated. On the other hand, the taskbar is also simplified and incorporated by default.
- Snap Features: This is a new feature that has been introduced by the company in their latest Microsoft operating system. This feature allows the windows to instinctively adjust from numerous preset options from a snap navigator.
- Segoe UI Variable Font: In addition, the Windows OS 11 features a new family of font named, Segoe UI available that with upgraded DPI displays. Apart from this, there is fresh animations, icons, widgets and sounds too.
- Widgets Panel: The latest generation windows also have a new widget panel that can be easily accessed by tapping on the widgets button that is placed on the taskbar. The widget displays numerous news including that of weather, sports, and finance from the popular internet service web portal, MSN.
- Other features: In addition to these, Microsoft has integrated Auto HDR and direct storage technologies by the Xbox Series X/S.
System Requirements for Windows 11
The new generation Windows 11 requires a hard floor 64-bit compatible processor with a clock rate of 1 & 2 GHz or more and will support Intel, Qualcomm and AMD processors. A RAM of 4GB and storage space of 64 GB or a larger storage device is the mandatory requirement for the latest OS. Meanwhile, Windows 11 is compatible with a Graphic card with DirectX 12 or later with a WDDM 2.0 driver. A high definition display of 720 pixels is the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11 OS. As previously discussed, it has been announced by the Chairman of Microsoft, Satya Nadella that the new Windows 11 Operating System is supposed to be launched by the end of 2021.
