Senator Mushahidullah Khan Passes Away at 68, Due to Prolonged illness in Islamabad

Karachi’s Veteran politician and PML’s Leader, Senator Mushahidullah Khan passes away at the age of 68 after a strapping illness. The confirmed news was shared by party Leader Muhammad Zubair early Thursday morning.

According to the news agencies, Senator  Mushahidullah Khan was suffering from an illness in Islamabad for a very long time. The spokesperson for PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Zubair added that the late Senator was a federal minister under the previous Government and also, the part of the most ranked senior leader of the party.

Maryam Nawaz, who was the Prime-Minster of Pakistan said,” shattered to hear the sad news” of Senator Mushahidullah’s demise.

 

Maryam Nawaz also wrote on Twitter,” Senator Mushahidullah Khan, MNS’s loyal and exceptional companion left us. I am shattered to hear the sad news. Will never be able to forget his fatherly affection & love. A huge huge loss. May Allah SWT shower upon him every blessing that HE has reserved for the afterlife. Ameen”.

According to a conversation with Mushahidullah Khan’s family, his funeral prayer will be held after the Zuhr prayer, which will happen in Sector H-11, Islamabad on Thursday.

Mushahidullah Khan was born in 1952 in Rawalpindi and took his education from Islamia High Scholl in Rawalpindi and did his graduated from Gordon College which is in Rawalpindi. Also, he had a degree of L.L.B from Urdu Law College, the University of Karachi in 1997.

In 1990, he joined the Pakistan Muslim League and was elected for the Senate of Pakistan as a candidate of PML. He also served himself as Minster of Climate Change in Abbasi Cabinet from August 2017 to May 2018.

Also, Senator Mushahidullah Khan was a part of the Parliamentary Committees on Appointment of Chief Election Commissioner and Members of the Election Commission of Pakistan.

He was a great leader and politician of all time. Maryam Nawaz said,” May Allah SWT shower upon him every blessing that He has reserved for the afterlife, Ameen”.
