The professional Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2019 in Tamil Nadu has started from 19th July and all eyes will be on the Indian star Ravichandran Ashwin. Along with the known stars such as Vijay Shankar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Washington Sundar, Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay, etc., the league will also unveil a large pool of unknown but talented players who will be seen in the month-long tournament that is set to be played across the southern state. Tamil Nadu Premier League Fixtures 2019
The opening match of the 4th edition of TNPL has already been played between Dindigul Dragons and Chennai Super Gillies where Ashwin led the Dindigul Dragons at Natham on Friday. Like every season, the league will feature 8 teams with Siechem Madurai Panthers trying to defend their 2018 title.
Earlier, Ashwin took to twitter to confirm his participation in the league. He wrote, “It’s that time of the year where my favorite color becomes (yellow) @dindiguldragons. Its been a great 4 weeks here in the UK with @trentbridge and now it’s time to head back and play some T20 cricket @tnpremierleague. Look forward to a good time going around the districts of Tamil Nadu.”
The 4th edition of the league has already begun from 19th July with both the teams Dindigul Dragons and Chennai Super Gillies locking their horns at NPR College ground. The match began at 7.15 pm (IST). The tournament will last till 18th August 2019 and will feature 8 teams and a total of 32 matches.
