This year’s hit Baaghi is going to have a sequel, Scripting is in the process and Ahmed Khan will begin the filming next January. While the two names Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez have been floating around to be in the female lead role, but with another twist in the story, we heard the producers of the sequel have roped in Amy Jackson for Baaghi 2.
Says a source close to the production, “While being present at the trailer launch event of her upcoming Freaky Ali that was held in Mumbai recently, She has been gear up with meeting a lot of producers and directors where Sajid Nadiadwala approached her for Baaghi 2.” Incidentally, Amy was also Sajid’s first pick for Salman and Jaqueline starrer Kick. He had approached her for Jacqueline’s role, but due to the actress was contractually compelled for the movie I, She has to give a miss to the movie Kick.
Amy also says at the event,
“I loved doing the action in Singh Is Bliing. I am getting a lot of action-oriented roles post-SIB. I have liked two scripts — one Tamil film and one Hindi film. I will start the Bollywood film in January next year. But I don’t want to share the details about the projects right now”.
On the other hand, the Action Jackson actress had recently called for the quit from the project titled Half Girlfriend. She was considered to essay the character of Samantha Myers from the Bill Gates Foundation in the movie Half girlfriend that starrs Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor as the leads but she had to walk out of the project because she had previously assigned dates for another British Film. She will also continue filming for Shankar’s 2.0 that has two Megastars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. In the recent lane, she has Freaky Ali beside Nawazuddin Siddiqui coming up.
