The software did not work for her until she put on a white mask and from there on she got a clear picture of tech biases.

She also said that when she showed her face hand instead of her face, the software worked and again when one of her roommate who was white drew her face in front of the vision software, it worked again, but when she came face to face with that recognition software, the Artificial Intelligence did not recognise her face and that is were Joy felt invisible.
