As per a report published in one of the leading media portals Mid-Day said in a statement read, “This weekend, the talent on the Colors show will take the audience down memory lane by performing on some of Sridevi’s songs.”
Yagnik also said in a statement regarding her appearances on the TV reality show Rising Star Season 2, ”The concept of live singing is very appealing. I have judged many singing reality shows but ‘Rising Star 2’ is something very unique as it ensures maximum viewer engagement.”
‘Rising Star 2’ has a judges panel comprised of, which includes, Shankar Mahadevan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Monali Thakur, and is hosted by Ravi Dubey.

Shankar Mahadevan who is currently seen judging the live-voting led singing reality show Rising Star 2 says this is one of the best platforms for young talent to display their talent skills.
Trends come and go, but only a good song has the power to sustain which is said by the singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan. He stated that the music and fashion industries are almost same.
“Music industry is like fashion. Things keep coming, things keep going, and trends keep changing. There is good music, bad music, and mediocre music. Everything co-exists but at the end of the day it is a good song which wins,” Mahadevan told IANS in a recorded response.

Mahadevan also focused on the stage of Rising Star Season 2 regarding his teaming-up with the musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio, and said, “I think melody is a trend which is coming back and we are doing a lot of melodies this year.”
Starting his career as a software programmer, Mahadevan eventually turned to be one of the best singers of the Bollywood.

Mahadevan coined the reality TV singing shows as the best “platforms for young talent”.
“Because you are on national TV, you are being watched by the entire country and they know your first name, which is the highest form of popularity. If you are able to come on a reality show that is success forget about winning the show. If they win the show then it is a brownie point.”

And the singer Shankar Mahadevan consider the TV singing reality show Rising Star Season 2 as the special show which served as a right platform for the aspiring singers to showcase their singing talents and also to emerge as a good singer from India.
