Filmmaker Karan Johar says he used to be regarded as the ‘pansy’ in school, but a teacher gave him the courage to face the world and he also praised his teacher for the today he is having confidence and attitude towards his life.
“The word pansy, which is normally used for a boy who talks and walks like a girl, so it was really hilarious to know that during his childhood days Karan Johar was recognized as the pansy.

Regarding this Karan said in the tonight episode of the Star Plus’ “India’s Next Superstars” that how he used to embarrassed with this word but still his teacher was supportive towards him and she gives him the courage to face the world anyway.
Karan said regarding and about a following aspiring actor’s performance of an act of the participant which Karan regarded as the ‘pansy’ man who loved dancing, which left him moved to his school days, and Karan also throws light on this statement.
“This performance took me back to my childhood days,” he said and smile.
“I used to dance on girls’ songs and my friends used to make fun of me. Upset about this, I went to an elocution teacher at the age of 13 and she said, ‘Why do you want to change the way talk, you’re just fine’. That’s when I gathered the courage to face the world.
“Today if I was still talking like that I wouldn’t change it. Even if one of my kid’s talk or walk likes that, I wouldn’t change them,” Karan added further.
