Nageswara Rao. Box Office Collection
By early March 2018, there were reports suggesting that Rana Daggubati would portray the role of Tiger Nageswara Rao, but those rumors were later dismissed. In June, there were reports of Nani being considered for the role, which were also dismissed. However, by late April 2021, it was reported that Vamsee had met Ravi Teja while Teja was shooting for “Khiladi” (2022) in Hyderabad and presented a script that impressed the actor. It remained uncertain whether this script was related to Tiger Nageswara Rao’s story. On November 3, a public announcement was made by Abhishek Agarwal, who is producing the project under Abhishek Agarwal Arts. This announcement confirmed the title as “Tiger Nageswara Rao,” solidifying it as the biographical film. G. V. Prakash Kumar would be in charge of composing the score, while R. Madhi and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao would handle cinematography and editing, respectively. On its first day at the box office, “Tiger Nageswara Rao,” Ravi Teja’s latest Telugu film, had a respectable start in comparison to Hindi releases on Friday. According to preliminary estimates from Sacnilk.com, the movie, which also serves as the film debut for Kriti Sanon’s sister, Nupur Sanon, opened with a collection of ₹8 crore across all languages. The film is centered around the life of one of the most notorious thieves in Stuartpuram. According to the report, the film achieved an occupancy rate of 53.18% for Telugu showings and approximately 10% for Hindi showings. Directed by Vamsee, this period action thriller also features an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Renu Desai, Jisshu Sengupta, Gayatri Bhardwaj, and Murali Sharma.
