Waiting For The Barbarians is the film that is based on the novel of the same by J.M. Coetzee. The drama film has been directed by Ciro Guerra and produced by Olga Segura, Andrea lervolino, Monika Bacardi, and Michael Fitzgerald. The film is starring Johnny Depp in the role of Colonel Joll, Mark Rylance in the role of Magistrate, Robert Pattinson in the role of Officer Mandel, Gana Bayarsaikhan in the role of the girl, Greta Scacchi in the role of Mai, David Dencik in the role of the clerk, Sam Reid in the role of the Lieutenant, Harry Melling in the role of Garrison Soldier 4, Bill Milner in the role of Garrison Soldier 5, etc.

Rylance has portrayed the role of an unknown magistrate who is settled in the Empire of a remote region, It is not the British empire. The film has already been presented in the Venice Film Festival on 6th September 2019. The film will be premiered in English and Mongolia language and scheduled to be released on 7th September 2020.
