Setting Up Location Tracking on Google Maps:
- Firstly, make sure that the location services are enabled on the target device (Device you have planned to track).
- Then, open the Google Maps app on the target device.
- You may find a Hamburger icon on the top left of the screen.
- Navigating through the options, tap on the Location Sharing icon.
- Now, select Get Started on your target device and it will prepare the phone for tracking.
- Finally, set up the timer. If you want to track the device for a limited time, then set up the tracking time by using the Plus or Minus icon to adjust the time accordingly.
- Otherwise, you can choose the Until You Turn This Off option, to eliminate the time barriers.
After completing these steps, you will get a link that you need to send through a message. The reason is that all other apps, such as Whatsapp, email, etc. will disappear leaving messaging the only option to use.
Sending Link:
You have two options to send the generated link of the targeted phone’s location. Either you can use the messaging app to send the link to your phone, or you can share the location from inside the Google Maps app.
The latter method is that you will send the location from inside Google Maps in the target device that will send a notification to your phone. After tapping the notification, the app will open up. Select the Directions option and you are all set to track the target device.
