Same Results, New Look

The Mumbai Indians are always featuring in the latest cricket news, this time for their new kit ahead of the IPL set to take place in the UAE. A teaser was released this past Saturday that created a lot of hype on social media. The team has started training in the UAE in preparation for the tournament and have donned their new colours, showcasing the same amount of skill that fans have come to know and anticipate. The new kit features hues of blue and gold stripes on the shoulders. The new ensemble is one of the many changes that the team has to get used to. Rohit, the well-known skipper for Mumbai Indians, shared insider thoughts on training in the UAE on the team’s Twitter account. He spoke about training in the video posted online and noted the hot conditions and other factors that the teams will have to get used to in order to perform at their best in the upcoming tournament.

Early Practice

The Mumbai Indians have been highlighted as one of the teams most likely to win the tournament by experts, players, and fans alike. The team has experienced a win-streak of note, having taken the title in four tournaments so far, and becoming the first team in the history of the IPL to do so. The success of the team has been attributed to Rohit Sharma who is the team captain. Besides Sharma’s accolades as a player, having won the IPL five times, he displays excellent leadership that has led the Mumbai Indians to their numerous victories.

The team began practicing this past Saturday in the UAE with Rohit Sharma proving to be in excellent form for the coming tournament.  This past Thursday Sharma could be seen regaining momentum for the tournament as well as other favourites of the team such as Jasprit Bumrah and Quinton De Kock on the team’s twitter handle.

Team Room

On Tuesday, 1st September, the team posted a video to their twitter handle giving fans a virtual tour of their team room for the next month and a half. The team room, which was built to be especially stress-free for the players, was designed and put together by the team’s management team. This video goes a long way in highlighting the support and faith that the executive team offers the team and its players. The team room can only be described as lavish with a blue colour scheme, multiple pool tables, and gaming options for the men to enjoy together and relax when they are not practicing. The strength of the Mumbai Indians lies in the natural talent that the team acquires and honing the skills of the players who are already on the team.

Prospects

Taking the footage from practice sessions that were posted on social media into account, the prospects for The Mumbai Indians are positive. One of the most noteworthy aspects of the way this team conducts themselves is that no matter how many tournaments they win, the players and management put in the same amount of effort, support and practice to emerge victorious time and time again.
