The film stars Rajendra Gupta as Modi’s father, Manoj Joshi as Amit Shah, Prashant Narayanan as a fictional business tycoon named Aditya Reddy, Zarina Wahab as Modi’s mother and Barkha Bisht Sengupta as Modi’s wife. In this movie, Vivek Oberoi is playing the role of Modi. On the other hand, he told everyone that he doesn’t even consider this movie as a propaganda film.

He said, “It is just a coincidence that the film is releasing ahead of the election. It is not a propaganda film. I am an individual who has a credible body of work over the last 18 years, more than 45 films and more than 26-27 awards. So I stand my ground there. I don’t need to make him appear as a hero. He is a hero to billions of people across the world.”

Few days ago, the PIL puts a question mark on the release of the film as it appears that it is being released for publicity. If the film is released, then it can give PM Modi make more speed in attaining votes. The SLP has also demanded the makers to eliminate the trailers from the social media sites.

The petitioner said, “We have conveyed the urgency in front of the Chief Justice that the film would be released on April 5. EC’s standing counsel is of the view that we have not got the notice up till now.”

In the meantime, makers of biopic ‘PM Narendra Modi’ move the Supreme Court contrary to the delaying of the film’s release. On the other hand, Supreme Court agrees to hear the case on April 15, 2019.
