On May 18 (Tuesday), the Triumph Motorcycles India has finally announced the official launch of its two new special edition motorcycles and that are the Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm and the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition. These two new edition models of Triumph Motorcycles have been launched in Indian market.
Last month on April, this popular British motorcycle manufacturer also took off the covers from its 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 and the 2021 Street Scrambler together with their other new special models edition. Now, after the new launch, the Triumph Motorcycles has now been offering total of three special editions in the Triumph Bonneville range in Indian market.
The newly launched Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen limited-edition is dedicated to the most iconic American actor named Terrence Stephen McQueen, and that’s why this new edition has been named after him. Steve McQueen was not only the legendary American movie star (from 1952 to 1980) but also a very famous motorcycle stuntman and a big fan race car fan. He used to perform most of his stunts in his movies and was nicknamed ‘King of Cool’, for his brilliant on-screen personality.
In addition to that, the company is also paying their tribute to the iconic 650 cc Triumph TR6 motorcycle which was seen in the movie ‘The Great Escape’ released in 1963 and was ridden by McQueen himself in that movie. Meanwhile, the Triumph Scrambler 900 Sandstorm is also a limited-edition run motorbike that is featuring some very unique and rugged Scrambler detailing on motorcycle’s body.
Talking about the prices of its two new edition models, Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen is going to be available with a price tag of Rs 13,75,000 (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm is available at Rs 9,65,000 (ex-showroom). One must take note that both these models of Triumph Motorcycles are limited run bikes and are available in limited number across the world market. The Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen is limited to just total of thousand units in global market, while the Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm is limited to only 775 units across the world market.
While announcing the launch, Triumph Motorcycles India -Business Head, Shoeb Farooq stated that both of the Scrambler Special editions will deliver more power and great performance along with hosting some additional special features which will make these special editions unique apart from its regular variants available in the market. He also revealed that the company is going to give the buyers especially signed ‘Special edition’ certificates who will buy these two special editions motorcycle in India.
