The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to showcase its first match on April 9 and the BCCI including president Sourav Ganguly and Secretary Jay Shah had a meeting on Saturday. The meeting was held related to the various policy decision of the IPL Governing Council before starting the year of the game. Now, the IPL 2022 will come with a 10-team affair as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to bring two new teams in the month of May during the league of the new 2021 edition. At the starting of the year, the President of the BCCi Sourav Ganguly and Secretary, Jay Shah started a meeting on performances of the various policies of the council, which is approved by the IPL Governing Council.
According to the reports, a BCCI senior shared a message that From the next year, 10 teams will play the IPL matches, and the auction and finalizing process will be completed by the end of the month of May, this year. The sources also added that once the team will be finalized, BCCI can start their operation work that will take a long time to process.
New IPL Team Base Price?
Now, everyone wants to know from BCCI and IPL council that what will be the base price of the new Team, that will play in 2022. Also, we are trying to find some more important details from BCCI, and let’s check out what will be the base price for both new teams in IPL. According to the sources, it has been revealed that the base price for the teams will not be less than 1500 crore.
As per the details, nothing is being discussed about the base price of the team yet. But, we have discussed something during BCCI Annual General Meeting informally. The ownership of these two teams will not be more than 1500 crore or more”, told BCCI.
Now, the exact base price for the new IPL teams will be released, and when the tenders will be released for the auction?
BCCI senior said,” IPL will decide the floor price and the tender of the team. the JSW Group took Delhi Capitals’ 50% when the team was named as Delhi Daredevils at the valuation price of 1100 Crore. We know very well that the valuation price for the teams increasing every year. The new Media Rights tender is due, it will release the valuation for teams. So, the base price of the teams will stay between 1500-1600″.
