A brand new Sniper 155 Sports scooter has been finally revealed and is now currently launched at the Phillippines market. While launching the Sniper 155, the manufacturer also stated that the design of this newly launched scooter has been inspired and based on its earlier launched YZF-R1 motorcycle. The 2021 Yamaha Sniper 155 Sports features a lot of key highlights that makes it one of the best scooters launched by this popular Japanese motorcycle manufacturer.
Key Highlights & Specifications
Among many key highlights of this newly launched scooter, the Yamaha Sniper 155 Sports major feature is its engine which is based on YZF-R15. The scooter is powered by a 155 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine that produces 17.9 PS at 9,500 rpm as its maximum power. Its four valve engine also produces out 14.4 Nm peak torque at 8,000 rpm. In order to improve its power delivery, the Sniper 155 also gets Yamaha’s latest Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology in its engine.
This tech is also found in the Yamaha’s sportsbike YZF-R15 and also in the MT-15 from the same manufacturer. However, there are some major similarities but still Sniper 155 Sports is little different from the aforementioned Yamaha’s sportsbike variants. Meanwhile, its engine also features 6-speed manual gearbox, along with a slipper and assist clutch. The Yamaha Sniper 155 Sports comes with a smart key system, power socket (12V DC), LED lightings along with digital LCD instrument cluster which is multi-functional.
Price & Availability
This newly revealed vehicle is launched by one of the popular Japanese motorcycle manufacturers i.e. Yamaha and it is currently available for sale in the market of Phillippines. The Yamaha Sniper 155 Sports has been available at the price tag of PHP 1, 14,900. By converting this price into INR it makes Rs 1.74 lakh, according to the current rates of exchange in the market. Along with the 2021 Yamaha Sniper 155, the Japanese manufacturer has also launched Sniper 155R in the same market which is launched at the price of PHP 120,900, on converting the cost into INR it makes Rs. 1.83 lakh. In addition to that, the buyers from Phillippines are going to get four different and vibrant colour options of Sniper 155 such as Black Raven, Yellow Hornet, Matte Titan, and Race Blue. Meanwhile, talking about the Sniper 155R, this newly launched scooter is going to be available in only a single colour option and that is Matte Titan. This model has also received better brakes as compared to the brakes of its standard variant version. As per to current report, there is no such information regarding the launch of Yamaha Sniper 155 Sports in Indian market.
