The highly anticipated Asus ZenFone 8 series has finally got its launch date after rumours regarding the same started surfacing online a while now. Earlier, there were several rumours and reports regarding a number of smartphone models under the ZenFone 8 and anticipating these models to be ASUS ZenFone 8 Mini and ZenFone 8/ 8 Pro. However, the company didn’t provide any official information regarding the same, so we are not sure about other models in this upcoming smartphone series.
The company has now finally revealed the launch date of Asus ZenFone 8 in their official site with a countdown timer scheduled for 12th May 2021 (Wednesday). As per to the launch teaser of Asus ZenFone 8, the company has revealed that the upcoming smartphone will come in a compact size but it will offer smooth and high performance as well. In addition to that, the teaser also confirmed that the display of the phone will feature a hole-punch cutout in the top left corner for front camera.
If rumours are to be believed, then this upcoming smartphone may possibly launch at least three devices in the ZenFone 8 lineup. Among the three alleged models, one is expected to be a compact flagship, and it may be called the ZenFone 8 Mini. Other than the vanilla ZenFone 8, several leaks have indicated that most probably Asus may launch ZenFone 8 Mini as well as ZenFone 8 Flip.
According to previous reports, the upcoming ASUS ZenFone 8 is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, and will have a compact design with high performance. As per to the rumours, the phone is going to come with a 5.9 inch FHD+ display having no notch or bezels along with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone may get a 64-megapixel camera setup and will be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM. However, one must take note that all these details are based on recent reports and leaks, so we have to wait for the device to get officially unveiled in order to find out what’s correct and what’s not.
As we have above mentioned, the Zenfone 8 is going to launch on 12th May 2021, but it is still not confirmed whether it is going to get a launch in Indian market on the same date. If this smartphone will get an Indian launch on same day, the company will surely host an online event to make this announcement available to others. Till then we will have to wait for an official statement by the company.
