DU 5th cut-off List 2019; Delhi University Released Fifth Cut-off at du.ac.in

On Friday, Delhi University has finally announced its fifth cut-off with nominal seats left in colleges, mainly for students who are from reserved categories. The DU 5th cut-off 2019 list comes just a day before the first official working day of this academic session.

All the candidates who have appeared for the admission to Delhi University colleges and were eagerly waiting for the cut-off list to get released are advised to visit the official website in order to check their name and details in the cut-off list.

For its total of 62,000 undergraduate seats, the university has seen more than 67,000 admissions so far.

As there are many colleges who have seats in reserved categories, but there are few other colleges where students can apply in popular courses who are from unreserved categories.

Colleges such as Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC) has offered seats for students who belongs to unreserved categories in BA (Hons) in Economics, English, Journalism, Political Science, BCom as well as BCom (Hons).

DCAC principal, Rajiv Chopra said, “Around 200 seats are still left in our college so we had to keep the courses open. We are helpless because students are cancelling their admissions. We had closed Political Science and History but had to open it again because of cancellations,”

There are various other colleges such as Kirori Mal, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Kamala Nehru College, which are still offering two of the most sought-after courses this year like BA (Hons) in Economics and English. Hindu College (97.75%) as well as the Shri Ram College of Commerce (98.62%) also providing the seats in BA (Hons) in Economics for candidates from unreserved categories.

Principals from quite a few colleges pointed that students are moving from one course to another was leading to a lot of cancellations and therefore a lot of seats are opening up.

Anju Srivastava, principal of Hindu College also said, “We are left with very few seats in Economics and BCom (Hons). We can’t drop the cut-off a lot because then there will be a rush for admission. So after deliberation, we kept the same cut-off as the fourth list because around two or three seats are left in both the courses,”

Coming back to DU 5th cut-off 2019, the candidates must take note that this year, the university is going to notify just five cut-off lists. After the release of DU 5th cut-off, the admissions is going to take place from July 20. This is also going to be the first day for all those students who have already finished the admission procedure.

1) At first, visit the official website of the DU at du.ac.in

2) On the homepage, click on the 5th cut-off link available

3) After that check your name and details on the list

4) Save and Download the cut-off list and also take a print out of it for future use.
