Bucket List: Madhuri Dixit’s Marathi debut, produced by Karan Johar, poster & teaser out!: The filmmaker Karan Johar now embrace the regional cinema with his new movie Bucket List, as now the regional cinema has reached a new level and this one is also having new milestone these days.
With the movie Bucket List, the yesteryear actress, Madhuri Dixit is all set to mark her Marathi debut and the film Bucket List is also touted as the much awaited and anticipated movie of the year.
Impressed by the teaser of Bucket List, Karan jumped on board and her also presented the theatrical trailer alongside the actress Madhuri Dixit via AA Films.
After the success of the Marathi film, Sairaat, the Marathi film industry among the regional cinema, doing some great critically and having massive business at the Indian box office too.
So, no wonder, why is a Marathi born, the Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, signed and make her debut in the Marathi cinema, with the movie Bucket List, opposite the TV actor Sumeet Raghavan.
Karan Johar’s successful venture into regional cinema had started with the immensely, profitable Telugu-Tamil periodic drama Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), helmed by SS Rajamouli.
The Dharma Productions continued its collaboration with the sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and as you all know, the Bollywood director, Karan Johar is all set to produce the Hindi language remake of the Marathi film Sairat, titled Dhadak.
The movie Dhadak, is also is in news, as the film will be launch Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jaanhvi Kapoor in the B-Town.
Anyway, confirming the news regarding sponsorship of the movie Bucket List, Johar told to a leading media portal, “I’ve been a staunch believer in regional cinema and since Baahubali, I am confident that good cinema with a great platform breaks the barrier of language. Moreover, the opportunity to launch the superstar actor Madhuri Dixit-Nene in her mother tongue is going to be my absolute pleasure. Together, with the team of Bucket List and AA Films, we hope that this heartwarming film gets all the love it deserves,” said Johar, which is actually reported by the media house DNA.
“Marathi cinema is evolving beautifully and it makes me proud to see such incredible stories come alive on screen. I have received many scripts over the years since I was always open to acting in Marathi films. However, no script excited me as much as this one. The moment I heard the story, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it,” Madhuri had told to a leading media portal in an earlier interview.
Johar and Madhuri are also working together in Abhishek Varman’s next movie, in which actually, the veteran actress has replaced Sridevi and bankrolled of the film will be done by Dharma Productions.
Bucket List is slated to hit theatres on this 25 May (which is incidentally Johar’s 46th birthday) and will see Madhuri play Madhura Sane, a housewife with unfulfilled dreams now want to complete her all dreams and unfulfilled desire which is in her ‘bucket list’.
