Gully Boy is a 2019 musical drama film which is directed by Zoya Akhtar, and written by Akhtar and Reema Kagti. The principal photography for Gully Boy started in the month of January 2018 and ended up in April 2018. It was initially premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on 9 February 2019 and was then released in 15 February 2019.
The movie is made under the banners of Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions, with Nas as an executive producer. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar as well as Farhan Akhtar.

The story of the movie is very inspiring as the movie itself is inspired by the lives of Indian street rappers Divine and Naezy, the film is a story about an ambitious street rapper from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai.
