Dhadak actress, Janhvi Kapoor is bringing the story of the brave air force pilot Gunjan Saxena on the screen with her latest project. The film is skipping the theatrical release and all set to be streamed on the streaming giant Netflix. It is the biopic of one of the two Indian women pilots in the combat zone. The film is also starring Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi playing the role of Gunjan’s father and brother. The distributing rights of the film have been owned by Netflix and it will be released worldwide but the release date of the film is yet to be confirmed. Janhvi will play the role of Gunjan Saxena who operates the helicopter during the Kargil war.
When Will Gunjan Saxena Be Released On Netflix?

She added that ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ is the story of pure courage and bravery. They couldn’t wait for a long to premiere it on Netflix. It is featuring an ensemble cast, Zee Studios and Dharma Production also come together to make it a must-watch film” she ended to say. Initially, the film was scheduled to release in theatres but the coronavirus pandemic had to pick the option of the OTT platform.
The film is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production and ZEE Studios. Karan Johar who produced the film under Dharma Production said ” It is the film based on the real story of the girl name Gunjan Saxena who would give unparalleled courage to the upcoming generation. They are thrilled to do a partnership with Netflix and share the story of the brave and inspiring women to the world.
