A notable face of television daily soap, Charvi Saraf, who is currently working in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 as Prerna’s sister Shivani. Lately, she shared a letter where she talked about the problem that she faced to get COVID-19 tested in Delhi. She began to describe the initial days of lockdown ” She said that she is in Delhi since the lockdown has been announced as there is her hometown. She and her family members locked themselves in the house as others. We have taken steps outside just to buy essentials. everything was seeming fine as they stated following a new schedule in lockdown”.
She went on to say about the symptoms of coronavirus ” She said that last week she had a problem and her body temperature was going up and down and feeling uneasiness, had pain in the body, breathlessness, and pain in the throat. Like everyone, she also panicking about these symptoms and has a fear that she is suffering from COVID-19 and don’t want her family to have the disease hence quarantined herself”.
She said that “getting a test is necessary now, but in Delhi, it is the tough task. She said that she made a call to the doctors who were treating them for many years but doctors said they don’t have a testing kit that is used to check COVID-19. Which she understands. Then she added to say that she made calls to some private hospitals near to her house, they also denied saying that they don’t have the facility of testing. She wanted someone to come and test herself as she is not in the condition to go by herself.
Then she says that she called to some government hospitals which she read about in the newspaper but they also advised her to get herself checked from any doctor to say that it could be viral. In the end, she made some calls on the government’s helpline numbers for COVID-19, they also said that hospitals are filled until next week. This time she is completely devastated only to get a test done”.
we are disappointed now with the behaviour of Delhi government as they are unable to provide perfect facilities to their citizens.
