Lyca Productions moved to Madras HC to prevent 2.0 online leak, planned to block 12,000 websites: Lyca Productions which is the production company of ROBOT 2.0 has become more cautious in order to prevent the pirated version of 2.0 getting leaked online. TamilRockers which is an illegal recording network website that uploads latest Indian films soon after its release and its commonly main target are Tamil films, has threatened to leak Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth starrer 2.0. 2.0 is a Sci-Fi Indian movie which is being released today on Thursday, 29th November 2018. It was the most awaited movie of south legendary actor Rajnikanth’s and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s fans. 2.0 is directed by S. By seeing the seriousness of the threatening by TamilRockers the production house has now moved to Madras High Court in order to restrict the piracy of film from all such illegal sites which allow illegally movie download links on their website. According to the recent reports, the producers of the film have listed over 12,000 websites that can possibly host pirated versions of their film.
Sundar, who is the executive producer of Lyca Productions, told in an interview, “We have got a ‘technical’ team of ten people who are involved in this. I don’t want to elaborate much on the measures we have taken to curb piracy because it needs to be ‘silently dealt with’. We met the authorities concerned in both Chennai and Delhi and they assured us that some concrete steps will be taken. Also, I am sure ‘links’ won’t open if someone searches for 2.0 online”
There are also various Indian movies which were pirated and were made available on these illegal websites just after its release. The recent movies which became the victim of these illegal website or piracy were Vijay’s recent release Sarkar and Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan which was leaked online and were also available in HD quality. Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) made an announcement advising theater owners to hire staffs inside cinema halls to check and make sure that no one is recording films on their phones or any other recording device.
The movie is going to be released in over 3,500 screens for Hindi versions and 2,500 screens for Tamil versions, total 6,000 screens would be displayed all over the country. It is expected that the movie is going to cross over 1400-1500 Cr worldwide in its box office collection.
The movie is a big budget film with an estimated budget of ₹500 to 600 crore. 2.0 is going to be showcased in Tamil and Hindi languages along with added dubbed releases in 13 other languages. The makers of the film previously has released the teaser as well as the trailer of the film which created a lot of buzz and make the audience more excited for the film. Considering its huge craze, it is predictable that the movie is going to enter in the box office collection with a great entry in its opening day and will definitely break all the records made by other films in India.
