The very anticipated movie ‘Saina’ is all set to hit the theatres this month, at the end of the March. The movie is basically based on the India’s popular Badminton player Saina Nehwal. Parineeti Chopra, who is playing the lead character of Saina in this biopic movie, shared the first poster of the movie along with announcing the release date of the film as well.
Parineeti Chopra Shares First Poster Of Saina
In that poster, you can see a shuttlecock and a line reading “Maar doongi.” Other than that, the poster didn’t have Parineeti Chopra, to get a glimpse of her as Saina Nehwal, but soon we will be able to see her playing the role on March 26. The movie is directed by Amole Gupte while it is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sujay Jairaj and Rashesh Shah. The production of the movie has been done under the T-Series and Front Foot Pictures banner.
However, the first Bollywood actress to sign the film was Shraddha Kapoor, who was initially going to play Sania character in the movie. But due to her other projects scheduling clashes, she stepped out of the film and the role was then given to Parineeti Chopra.
Parineeti Chopra has also talked about the film earlier and discussed her experience and process while filming the movie. She stated that it is a perfect movie project for her The director along with the makers of the film are making sure that she gets everything that she requires and needs. In order to give the best performance, a great physio team along with the world-class players have been appointed to train her for bringing out the best so that she can portray Saina well in terms of the sports skills.
Chopra started the badminton training for her role and practised badminton to professionally bring out the stances of Saina Nehwal when she performs on the court. In order to recreate the scenes of international venues where Sania Nehwal has actually performed, the makers of the films created as many as 12 courts for the film.
Based on the life of India’s well-known Badminton player Saina Nehwal, the movie was initially scheduled for a release in September 2020. However, the dates were shifted to next year (2021) due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. This biographical sports movie is going to make its theatrical release on 26th March 2021.
Talking about the cast of the movie, Parineeti Chopra is playing the role of Saina Nehwal and she is the main lead of the film. Other than her, you will see very talented Manav Kaul and Paresh Rawal playing the character of Pullela Gopichand and Harvir Singh Nehwal respectively.
