Phillauri earns Rs 12 crore over satellite and music rights :- Phillauri has already started earning money way before its release. The makers of the film recovered Rs 12 crore by selling off their satellite and music rights.
Phillauri is a story of a friendly ghost, Shashi, played by diva Anushka. Along with the role of a ghost, the actor is also involved in the film as a producer.
The maker’s thanks, this to “controlled costs” of the movie, which made on a budget of Rs 21 crore, including marketing as well as distribution.
“The film’s cost was exact and recovering Rs 12 crore already from satellite and music before the release, Phillauri is a profitable venture.
“We are now eagerly waiting to see the reaction of audiences and we are sure that they will love the film. It’s a special film for us after success with Jolly LLB 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, we are excited to release Phillauri with a big heart” said Vijay Singh, Fox Star Studios.
He wrote, “2017 has begun on a note for Fox Star India. JollyLLB2 and Badri Ki Dulhania emerge success. Phillauri could be a hat trick. Phillauri total budget is 21 cr. Half of the budget already recovered from Satellite and Music.”
Phillauri marks the second film of Anushka’s production house Clean Slate Films, made debut with NH10. The film, which stars Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma is directed by debutant Anshai Lal. Set in Phillaur, Punjab, the film is a family entertainer, releasing on March 24.
