Pooja Hegde To Team Up With Salman Khan For The First Time For Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali Movie: Salman Khan is all set to pair up with Pooja Hegde the versatile actress who made her debut with Mohenjo Daro and shared the screen with Hrithik Roshan, Now she is ready to be a part of Salman Khan’s next movie Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Last time the girl was seen in Houseful 4 with Akshay Kumar. It has been confirmed by Mumbai Mirror that she will be seen romancing with Salman in the movie. Another cast is not confirmed by the makers of the film, it would be announced soon.
The film has become the talk of the town as it has been announced by Salman Khan on his Twitter account last month in January. He wrote on Twitter, “Announcing my next film…’ Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’… Story and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala… Directed by Farhad Samji… Eid 2021…” Tweeting his congratulation to Salman, Akshay suggested a title for the film’s sequel. He said the sequel of the unusually-named film should be called Kabhi Eid Kabhi Christmas. “Congratulations to my dear friends, Sajid Nadiadwala, @BeingSalmanKhan and @farhad_samji on ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’. Wishing you guys all the love and luck. Have a name suggestion as well for the sequel… ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Christmas’,” Akshay tweeted.
All praise for his newly-minted leading lady, Sajid Nadiadwala who is producing and scripting the film says “Having worked with Pooja in Housefull 4, we felt she was a perfect fit for this film she has an amazing screen presence and will make for a good pair with Salman. They will bring freshness to the story”
According to a source, Salman will be seen completely in a new Avatar in the film. The look is currently decided by the makers. His lady love is a traditional small-town girl who is the far cry from Salman’s Character. Pooja has played a small-town girl in the film Mukunda hence, the makers found her a perfect fit for the role. There is a pure, beautiful and mature love story between the two stars and pooja’s track acts as the catalyst to the plot says the source, adding that the film is high on the action too but instead of personal vendetta, Salman will fight for a larger cause this time around.
Farhad Samji will direct the film. Sajid had earlier told PTI, “I had started writing this film even before I started with Kick 2. Salman and I are collaborating after six years and it feels just like our Judwaa days back then. Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is a film with a very different approach and we are sure the audience will love to see Salman in the avatar we have planned.” Sajid adds, “ Judwaa was one of Salman and Bollywood’s first Eid releases. Even my directorial debut, Kick, opened during the festival.” Since Salman and Pooja are pairing up for the first time and their track is laced with dollops of humour, the makers have planned several workshops in the lead up to the first shoot which has been scheduled in October to help the duo to break the ice.
