The action-adventure movie with a high octane action sequences is titled Shamshera that is reported, going to be directed by Karan Malhotra, who marked his directorial debut with the movie Agneepath of the actor Hrithik Roshan.
The movie is touted to be a complete masala entertainer and promises to bring out a never-seen-before avatar of the actor Ranbir Kapoor.

The declaration about the project was made on the official Twitter handle of YRF with a short teaser release.
In the 45 seconds long video, we can see the tensed Ranbir as is holding a battle axe in one hand and arrows in another. Ranbir, who has until now showcased his lover boy image and with this movie perhaps he will be displaying his rough and tough side.

Speaking about his new movie Shamshera, Ranbir, in a statement stated, “Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me. Karan is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge.”
Shamshera is all set to go on the floor by the end of 2018 and the shooting will wrap by mid-2019. Previous to that, we will see Ranbir in the role of the Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt which is biopic movie of the actor all set to hit theatres on this June, titled Sanju.
He will also share the screen with Alia Bhatt in movie Brahmastra, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, reportedly, that is all set to hit the theatres on this 15th August, 2019.
