Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is an upcoming Indian black comedy film directed by Dibakar Banerjee. It stars Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. The principal photography of the film began on 7 November 2017 at Mahipalpur. It will be theatrically released in India on 20 March 2020. Speaking about the film that revolves around a man and woman from different cultural backgrounds and their love-hate relationship, Parineeti best described her experience as “intense, physically and mentally challenging.”Talking about the new project, Dibakar said in a statement, “This feels like my first film, again. I’ve had to unlearn everything I know to tell this story about a man and a woman who can’t stand each other but can’t survive without each other.” the movie will see Parineeti reuniting with Arjun Kapoor after their last project together ‘Ishaqzaade’. While the hunk plays a Haryanvi cop, Parineeti plays a corporate employee living in Delhi.

The film follows the story of a man and woman who represent two completely different Indians. Pinky is a Haryanavi Police Officer while Sandeep is someone from the Corporate world. However, they are united by their mistrust, suspicion, and hate for each other. Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor have shared posters of their upcoming film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and announced the release date of the film.
The colorful posters feature portraits of the lead characters named Pinky Dahiya and Sandeep Kaur. The first look posters of the film are colorful sketches of both the actors with their characters’names written over their pictures. At the bottom of the posters, ‘Faraar’ is written in block letters. Arjun’s name in the film is Pinky Dahiya while Parineeti will be seen playing Sandeep Kaur.
More essential than ever to know that the film has been directed by Dibakar Banerjee under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the film is reportedly a dark comedy. However, there is a twist as Arjun is named Pinky Dahiya and Parineeti plays Sandeep Kaur in the film. Made under the banner of Yash Raj Films and directed by Dibaker Banerjee, the dark comedy is set to hit theatres on March 20.
If it comes to that the film was earlier supposed to hit the screens in 2018. The release was later pushed to 2019 but it didn’t release last year. Arjun and Parineeti had made their Bollywood debut together with the 2012 film Ishaqzaade. They were again seen together in the 2018 film Namaste England, which turned out to be a commercial flop.
Parineeti shared Arjun’s character poster in a similar manner on her social media account, introducing him as Pinky Dahiya. He is said to be playing a Haryanvi cop and has a straight face on the poster that looks like a pamphlet as the two characters are believed to be absconding in the film.
She shared her own poster with the caption, “Mere partner ki Faraar partner! Me! As SANDEEP.” Besides Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Parineeti has already wrapped up the shooting of The Girl on the Train. She is currently shooting for the Saina Nehwal biopic.
