Satte Pe Satta Remake: Will Anushka Sharma to essay the role of a glamorous teacher??: According to the reports, Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan are all set to collaborate for the remake of Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Satte Pe Satta. Earlier it was rumoured that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of Big B in the film. But now as per the latest report, Hrithik Roshan will be stepping into the shoes of Big B and will be seen romancing with Deepika Padukone. As per grapevine, Farah Khan has taken some liberties to change the profession of Anushka Sharma in the film. While Hema Malini was a nurse in the original film, Anushka will play the role of a glamourous teacher in the remake. Going back to her own directorial debut Main Hoon Naa, the filmmaker might make Anushka Sharma’s character Sushmita Sen’s character Miss Chandni. Instead of sarees, Anushka will don short jackets and summer dresses.
Deepika will be teaming up with Hrithik for the first time. Earlier, there were rumours that the two actors will be seen sharing screen space but nothing materialised. A Kabir Khan film starring Hrithik and Deepika was also on charts but couldn’t see the light of day.
According to the report, a source said that Deepika was a unanimous choice for both. The source said: “Both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika Padukone in the movie because not only do they love her but she fits the role to the T. When DP debuted, everyone felt she had an uncanny resemblance to Hema ji in terms of her beauty as well. When Farah narrated the story to DP, she loved it and instantly gave her nod.”
After Hrithik was finalised for the film, a source told the website, “Farah [Khan] has already discussed the idea with Hrithik Roshan, who has also given a verbal nod to the project. Farah has reworked the whole script and designed it to suit contemporary times. They needed a superstar who would command the same screen presence as Big B and Duggu was their first choice.”

Farah Khan is collaborating with Rohit Shetty for the first time for Satte Pe Satta remake. While Farah will be directing the remake, Rohit is producing it. In February, the director-producer duo took to Twitter to announce the collaboration. Rohit has posted a picture of the two together and written that she would direct a film produced by him. He wrote: “Farah Khan directs the biggest action-comedy flick for Rohit Shetty Picturez. Welcome to the Family Farah. Let’s fly together.” Farah too has tweeted about it.
Meanwhile, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’ and Kabir Khan’s ’83’. On the other hand, Hrithik is all set for the release of his upcoming film ‘Super 30’.
