The ongoing coronavirus crisis in India is affecting the Indian film industry adversely. We have already seen the shift in many release dates that were set by the filmmakers initially. As a result, many upcoming movies like Sooryavanshi, Chehre, Thalaivi, among many others release date have been postponed. Now, another movie has recently added its name to this list and that’s none other than Satyameva Jayate 2.
John Abraham’s most anticipated movie Satyameva Jayate 2 was all set to hit the big screen very soon, but now the makers have decided to postpone its release date. This upcoming vigilante action-thriller movie is written as well as directed by Milap Zaveri. The story of the movie is based on the fight against injustice and the abuse of power. The movie is made under the production of T-Series and Emmay Entertainment while distributed by AA Films.
Earlier, the movie was also clashing with the highly-anticipated movie of the year i.e. Salman Khan’s “Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai”. Radhe, which was initially scheduled for 2020 release has also postponed for 2021 release date due to the covid-19 crises in India. With popular lead casts like Salman Khan, Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff, the movie is now releasing on 13th May 2021 in theatres along with other platforms like Zee Plex and ZEE5 on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. Now, the postponement of the Satyameva Jayate 2 release date has prevented the clash which may possibly have affected the movie performance in the box office.
The announcement was made through an official statement where the makers of the film have revealed that they are postponing the release date of Satyameva Jayate 2 after seeing the ongoing pandemic situation in the country which is worsening day by day. As per the official statement, the team SMJ2 said that they are more concerned about the “safety and health of our countrymen and patrons” in these crises times. And now, the movie ‘Satyameva Jayate 2’ is going to release at a later date. The makers of the film have also urged and requested people to wear the mask and to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
Talking about the movie cast, Satyameva Jayate 2 features John Abraham in the lead role. He is playing a double role in the movie and will be seen as Satya and Jay at the same time. Other than John Abraham, other talented actors have been also featured in the film such as Anup Son, Divya Khosla Kumar, Rajeev Pillai, among others.
