As per such reports, a petition has been filed in Delhi High Court by the Akhil Bhartiya Kshatriya Koli Rajput Sangh. The petition claims that the director of the upcoming historical drama, Om Raut, has hidden the true lineage of Tanaji Malusare.
The petition was filed on Friday, December 13 but since the judge was on leave, the hearing will now take place on December 19. How the film has taken a turn before unveiling itself in front of the people who are still waiting for this upcoming top-notch historical drama.
The upcoming film is a biographical period action starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Jagapathi Babu, and Sharad Kelkar and that too in the lead role. Directed by Om Raut, the film’s narrative is set in the 17th century and based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of the king Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire.
More essential than ever, The film was scheduled for the worldwide release on 27 December 2019, but on 24 March, the release date was further pushed back to 10 January 2020. In December 2017 the release date of Tanhaji was revealed as 22 November 2019. But in December 2018 director Om Raut shared on his Twitter account that the date is postponed to December 2019 due to shooting problems. On 1 January 2019, director Om Raut released the first-look image of Tanhaji.
The official posters of the film were released throughout November 2019 by the team of Tanhaji.
