Firstly, the actress Shraddha Kapoor was decided for the role but due to some health issues, the actress Parineeti Chopra signed for the role of Saina on 15th March 2019. After that for the role of Pullela Gopichand who is the coach of Saina Nehwal the actor Manav Kaul was finalized in the mid of June.
