Samsung ‘Funbelievable’ TVs Launched in India Price Starting at Rs. 12,990 Specification Features

Samsung has today launched its new Funbelievable series of televisions in India, at a starting price of Rs 12,990. The series comprises of both smart and non-smart TVs. Smart TVs are available in two variants viz. 32-inch and 43-inch variants while the series will also offer a 32-inch non-smart TV variant. They come with a two-year warranty.

For now, the company hasn’t given an exact date of sale for the device. However, the new TV series will be available at all Samsung Smart Plazas, leading consumer electronic stores and across online platforms, including Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop.

The affordable televisions from the South Korean electronics giant are aimed at budget buyers looking to get started with online content and streaming, while also using traditional methods of getting television content such as cable or DTH connections. The TVs come with a Personal Computer Mode, which adds certain computer features to the TV, a Content Guide for easy access to details of content available on various platforms, and a Music System, which allows the TV to be used to play music.

Although Samsung hasn’t specified what the resolutions of the televisions in the range are, it’s likely that the 32-inch variants will have HD-resolution (1280×720-pixels) screens, while the 43-inch variant will have a full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) screen.

Among the key features of the new TVs is the support for Content Guide, with which users can find their favorite movies and TV shows from among a list of curated content from India’s popular streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, SonyLIV, VOOT and so on.

Samsung is now looking to boost its presence in the affordable television segment in India with its latest launch, the ‘Funbelievable’ series. With this price range, the new television range will look to take on Xiaomi and Vu’s growing footprint in the budget space.
