Many filmmakers have decided to release their films on OTT platforms such as Jahnvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb, Alia Bhatt’s Sadak and many more. Here is the complete list of the upcoming films that are being released directly on Disney+Hotstar.
The film will be starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead role. It will mark the debut film of Raghava Lawrence as the director in Bollywood. Akshay will play the role of a transgender in this upcoming thriller that is the remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana. The film will skip the theatrical release and would be delivered directly on Disney+Hotstar on the occasion of Independence day, 15th August 2020.
The film has been set in the India-Pakistan war in 1971. Ajay Devgn will play the role of Vijay Karnik, the IAF squadron leader. The film is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. Apart from Ajay, the film is also starring Sanjay Dutt, Nora Fatehi, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, Ammy Virk, Pranitha Subhash, Jay Patel and Mahesh Shetty. The film is scheduled to be released on 14th August 2020, before a day from Indian Independence day.

The film is the sequel of 1991 film, Sadak. The film is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and he is starring his daughters Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt along with Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead role. The film will mark the first collab of Alia and Mahesh. The film is scheduled to release on 10th July 2020 on Disney+Hotstar.
The coming of age romantic drama is directed by the debutant filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra while the film is starring an ensemble cast including the talented star Sushant Singh Rajput, debutant actress Sanjana Sanghi, Saif Ali Khan, Javed Jaffrey, and Milind Gunaji. As we all know the film will be the last film of Sushant after his untimely death. It is a kind of bitter truth that every one of us has to accept.
