Malayalam Filmmaker I V Sasi Passed away: Well, some of you may know that Filmmaker and director I V Sasi who is known as a Malayalam filmmaker in the industry died in Chennai on Tuesday. As per the reports, He was sick and his death followed after a prolonged battle with illness. Also, the fans and the whole industry are feeling very sad today because of the death of this living legend.
Reports are coming that He is survived by wife Seema, son Ani, and daughter Anu. Also, he had a very long career and he did more than 150 films in his life. I V Sasi is considered one of the legendary filmmakers in Kerala for his unique directorial skills. We are sure that people are surely going to miss this legend for his good work. He started his career as an art director for Kaliyalla kalyanam (1968), Sasi made his directorial debut with Utsavam (1975).
Also, he received National Award for Aroodam (1982), besides two other state awards. His projects Devasuram, Aalkootathil Thaniye, Adiyozhukukal, Athirathram went on to become superhits, earning him a cult following. Also, if we say that he is the one who gifted superstardom to Mammootty then we will be right because I V Sasi made around 35 projects with him.
The director also pioneered many technological innovations, taking regional cinema into many new horizons. While he directed the first color cinema in Malayalam, Itha Ivide Varae (1977), he also made the first Cinemascope movie, Alavuddinum Athbhudhavilakum (1979).
Overall, you can say that he is the most amazing personality and never stopped working well. People loved his movies and he touched everyone including new and old generations by his movies.
