Kashmir valley Violence Live Death Toll mounted to 26 in violence

Srinagar, J&K: On the third day of violence in Kashmir. the death toll raised to 26. The normal life remained paralysed for the straight third day today in the Valley due to curfew. The separatists sponsored strike in the wake of the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani in an encounter on Friday.


An official said that two persons died in the protest today named as Feroz Ahmad Mir, 22 and Khursheed Ahmad Mir, 38.

Mobile Internet and calling services suspended in the four district of Kashmir due to the violence in the valley.

More than 250 people were injured in the protest across the valley of Kashmir and the situation continues tense in the valley for the straight third day of the violence.

Curfew continues to be imposed in the many parts of Srinagar and in the South Kashmir.

An official said that the Government is sending more troops to handle the violence smoothly and deployed more security forces at the vulnerable place. He also said that restriction was being enforced strictly to avoid any loss of life or any damage to property.

The central university of Kashmir, J&K Board of Secondary Education and Islamic university of Science and Technology have postponed the examination due to violence in the Kashmir valley.

Many separatists leader were kept under house arrest by the military forces. The name of separatists leader in Kashmir is Mohammad Yasin Malik, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
