RL Jalappa Death Cause Senior Karnataka Congress Leader Died At 96

The senior Indian Congress Party leader, RL Jalappa, has reportedly lost his life. he was an active and prominent member of his political party in Karnataka. As per the news, he has passed away on Friday evening, 17th December 2021. He had been suffering from comorbidities as a result he died. He not only served as a veteran member of the Indian National Congress but also served as a Union Minister. RL Jalappa remained a four-time member of the Legislative Assembly in the Union Cabinet of Deve Goda. He was being treated in the hospital at Kolar at the time of his death. His health condition was so critical that he was undergoing observation in an ICU room. He passed away at the age of 96 years while he was facing problems like paralysis, kidney failure, and lung issues. This news has caused grief among all of his followers.

It is important to mention that there were several political leaders enlisted as his followers. He was a king personality. He was the chairperson of Sri Devaraj Urs medical college in Kolar. He was of the view to help people through thick and thin; therefore, his eyes would be donated to someone as per his family’s wish. Before coming into the political services, he was working in the cooperative field. He started his political career as a member of the Karnataka Kranti Ranga.

Later, he joined the Karnataka Kranti Ranga collaborated with the Janta Party. He also served as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council between 1980 and 1983 as an MLC. Having become a member of the Janta Party, he contested the elections and won the Lok Sabha seat of the Chikballapur constituency in the Lok Sabha elections of 1996. As a result, he was selected as the Textiles Minister in the Union Government. He remained and served the country as a Textiles Minister between 1996 and January 1988. Eventually, he joined the Congress Party and took part in the elections of Lok Sabha and won elections as a result he remained in the government by year 2009 as a member of INC.

On the death of RL Jalappa, several political personalities have shown their grieves including Siddaramaiah, state Congress Chief D K Shivakumar, Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy and so on and so forth. On the part of a veteran political leader, the loss of this political leader is such a loss that it is difficult to fill in a short span of time. May the soul of this political leader rest in peace.
